Houston Dyslexia Intervention and Reading Tutoring

In reading sessions, students will learn literacy skills through instruction that incorporates touch, sound and movement. Sessions can address acquisition of basic reading skills, comprehension and spelling/written expression skills and gaining new vocabulary. 

For students identified as dyslexic, I use the Orton-Gillingham and Reading By Design approach, which is a multi-sensory methodology focused on explicit and systematic instruction.

I also use DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) testing to help determine if a student needs assistance in specific areas of their reading. 

Individual or small group sessions are available. Session frequency and duration are determined per student.
